Atheists get out - a followup

Back in September 2007 I posted about a letter-to-the-editor printed in an Alaskan newspaper. I posted it, and forgot about it. I don't get traffic, so I didn't really care to follow up on it. Turns out the letter was a joke. The woman who submitted it meant it as a joke and contacted the paper to tell them so. Problem is, the letter struck a chord with people on both sides of the issue. There were enough people who felt that way that decided to followup and trumpet the same attitude. So even though the letter was a hoax, I still feel my analysis counts for something.

Now, why do I bring this up again, almost a year later? Because today I got this lovely tidbit from an anonymous poster.

Well, talk about proving my point for me. My original post was about the intolerance of those who should be tolerant. Also that this country is supposed to be a haven for folks of any and all faiths, even if that faith does not happen to be in any one religion or god. Read the comments to see my reply.
